UPDATES [ASCEND+WEBCOMIC]

Uh, heyoooo....

Ugh. Well this is awkward. Having to do another one other one of these journals. Buuut I have been putting off for a while, and I think I should probably come clean.

*sigh* I guess there is no denying it at this point: I'm not going to finish Ascend. And it really just KILLS me to admit this, because I had spent almost a year pouring my heart in soul into drawing pages and writing for Neven and Renning, buuuut I just don't think I can finish it at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED being apart of Ascend. I loved my opponents. I loved my characters. And I absolutely LOVED meeting fellow artists and getting to feel like I was apart of a community. I had never felt so included before, and I will always cherish the experience I had gained both as an artist and as a person.

And UUUUGH, I SO wish I could finish my final round (I mean seriously, this is the SECOND time I had to drop out of a tourney in the last round, AND WITH NEVEN AND RENNING NO LESS!! OH GOD THAT'S A PAINFUL FEELING I TELL YOU! )

Uhm, anyway yeah, I wish I could have finished, buuut things just don't work out sometimes. Schedules gets in the way. Motivation is lost. People move on before you do. And sometimes, you just have to make a difficult decision.

But all is not completely lost I suppose, I mean thanks to Ascend I had decided that Neven and Renning actually do have potential as their own stand alone story, so this will likely not be the last you see of these to idiots.  

Also, I think I might go back and finish this little mini comic about how Renning met Neven (which um, I had apparently forgot to post, so uh, Imma have to do that and link this journal. ) as way of an unofficial ending. Its not the actual wrap up of Ascend of course, but It might give a little closure at least. (also, I will not be deleting any Ascend stuff, so my pages will always be available for reading. Even the parts I should probably just burn. XD)

Also, I have gained a lot of experience as an artist and a writer, and it will help me with my webcomic....

...speaking of which! YES. I FINALLY STARTED IT. (admittedly, its a SLOW start, because I am still working on the pages, but ITS A START! 8D)

Aaaand in other news! (And because I apparently don't learn,) I will eventually be teaming up with an old Ascend buddy (This guy right here --->, go shower him with Jojo memes. X3) for a future (and yet to be determined) OCT. I have no idea when we will be teaming up, but keep on lookout for that!

Anyway, I think I have covered all bases here. Keep an eye out for my webcomic and OCt updates, and as for anyone reading this from Ascend...Thank you for giving me a wonderful year. There were many ups and downs, and many sleepless nights (SO MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS OMG), but I had so much fun being apart of that wonderful community. And if I'm being honest here, Ascend is what made me realize that I wanted to make comics more than anything else in the world, so thank you for helping me realize my dream. :loveplz:
